Lindsay & Gordon Eshoot Pollock House

Beautiful couple, Beautiful setting and ....Rain.
Another shoot in the rain but that did not stop us having a great time on Lindsay and Gordons eShoot. We went to the lovely Polloch Park and ducked in and out of the showers to capture some great shots of these two.

Leslie & Barry, Glasgow Uni & Glenskirlie

Caught up with Leslie and Barry after their amazing honeymoon to Sri Lanka. The wedding really was beautiful. Glasgow University is one of the most amazing buildings in the world and to shoot a wedding there is a dream. To have the reception back at Glenskirlie Castle is just the icing on the cake.

As some of the family are not going to see Leslie and Barry for a while I thought I would post a little slideshow here.

These two have to some of the most relaxed clients I have worked with. They really enjoyed their day and took it in their stride. A true sign of couple very much in love.

Enjoy the slideshow here.

Mr & Mrs O’Donnell

Congratulations Mr & Mrs O’Donnell. My good friends John & Fiona got married yesterday. The plans were for a beautiful, outdoor, wedding beside the river at Roman Camp Hotel. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas.

A last minute change moved the wedding indoors into the stunning library. It was a difficult shoot as the rain kept coming down well into the early evening. However we did manage to get outdoors after the wedding meal and the speeches for a few shots on the grounds.

It will be nearly three weeks before the lovely couple are home from their honeymoon so stay tuned for some photos.

As shoots go it was a tough day but hey..... difficult is worth doing, right.

We love you guys. Have a great life together. See you soon.

John & Fiona

Every now and then I get the opportunity to photograph a friends wedding. Over the years I have had the privilege to shoot many of my friends but as most of us are now married the opprtunity gets slimmer each year.

John and Fiona have been friends for longer than I care to think about. We have shared lots of great times together and on Sunday 6th July we all get to share their wedding day with them. They are getting married at the beautiful Roman Camp Hotel in Callander. The plan is for an outdoor ceremony on the lawn by the river. Outdoor ceremonies are so rare in Scotland it will be awesome. Good luck guys and I can't wait for the big day.

Ansel Adams: Celebration of Genius

I was fortunate enough recently to visit the Ansel Adams: Celebration of Genius exhibition at the City Arts Centre in Edinburgh.

I think every photographer, if not a fan, has an appreciation for how good Ansel was. A true genius. It is the first time and probably last, that his original photographs were on display in Scotland. The collection is owned by George Eastman House International Museum of Photography in NY.

Easter Sunday - Gary & Lynn

Gary and Lynn are home from an amazing honeymoon and are over the moon with their photographs. What a great way to start the 2008 wedding season with such a beautiful wedding on Easter Sunday. The weather was a little cold but the sunlight was beautiful and the little bit of snow, well we just called it 'cold confetti'.

As for Gary and Lynn, what can I say, a beautiful, fun loving and very relaxed couple. Both Gary and Lynn and indeed the two families were great fun to photograph. Lynn looked amazing in her gorgeous dress and watching the tears in her mums eyes as she helped to fasten the dress was very emotional.

They had planned some lovely details for the day such as a wonderful string quartet playing while the guests arrived, the flowers by De Bloemist were as beautiful as ever and of course Glenskirlie Castle is just stunning.

Enjoy the photographs everyone. The slideshow will follow tomorrow.
