New Apple store in Glasgow

Along with several thousand other mad Mac fools I braved the rain to go check out the new Apple store on Buchanan St. It’s the first Apple store in Scotland and if today’s long queue’s are anything to go by its going to be very popular.

They had lots of the new iMacs on display (very nice). As well as everything else you could want from Apple. As with other Apple stores there is a Genius Bar and there will be lots of workshops and seminars to keep us all happy ☺

The store is directly across from Starbucks. Do you think they coordinated that one? But with three Starbucks on Buchanan St alone, it would not have been hard.

Was not allowed my camera in the store but I got a few shots on my phone.

Allan Nimmo

While shooting last weekends wedding I was informed of the unbelievably horrendous news that our friend Allan Nimmo had been killed in a motorbike crash that morning (4th Aug).

Allan was brother to our close friend Wendy and through our times spent with the family Allan had also become a very good friend . He was a genuinely lovely guy with a beautiful family and our hearts go out to his wife Arlene and his girls Carly and Heather.

It is very hard to come to terms with such a devastating loss and the pain that is felt by so many people is testament to how loved Allan was by so many.

'Big Nimmo' we will all miss you.

Jo & Jim 4th August 2007

Here are some photos from Jo and Jim's wedding in St Andrews. The golf was not the main event in St Andrews at the weekend.

What a wedding!!! The only dry day of the week and it was amazing.

Such a lovely couple deserved such an amazing day. Its not very often we get to shoot outdoor weddings in Scotland but this was spectacular. St Andrews Cathedral was the perfect backdrop. The best bit for me was having a beautiful couple that were up for anything and going onto the beach gave us the opportunity to be a bit different.

I will get a slideshow up when I get a sec. Its going to be another very busy week.

Very Generous and Thoughtful

You may remember Karen and Barry from the blog about their esession.

Well it is only a month till their big day and we got together yesterday to go over some details.

I was blown away when they presented me with a gift for our baby (who is due in a couple of months). Karen said that "books are the one thing kids don't grow out of."

It really was very thoughtful and generous. It is moments like this that make me truly love what I do. To not only be honoured to be part of their big day but to also be given gifts by your client is very special.

Thanks guys.
