Ryan Jack Carmody

My friend's Elena and Bill Carmody have a new baby boy called Ryan Jack Carmody.

How did I find out? Well she sent me a bar of Hershies Chocolate. I have known Elena since I went to America in 1990. The Chocolate bar actually reads 'here he is'. Pretty cool. Americans have some cool ways of doing things.

On the back it has all the details about little Ryan.

Cograts to both Elena and Bill and of course big brother Will.

Miss you guys!!!

X'mas Shopping

Christmas is always a time for tradition. Heather and I have a tradition I look forward to every year. We always finish our Christmas shopping by spending the day in Callender. Its a great place to go get some last minute shopping but more importantly for us its where we get our Christmas Spirit.

We always leave Callender feeling really full of the Christmas Spirit and I am always delighted to have the shopping over and done with.

Tis the season to be JOLLY

Its always a great feeling to recieve something completey unexpectedly. My great friend Sammi Cattaneo sent us a lovely X'mas decoration in the post from Syracuse NY. She wrote that she 'saw this in the store and just had to buy it' for me.

Looking at the postage Sam paid more than 3 times the decorations value just to send it to me.

Friends are one of the most important things in my life and some like Sam don't nearly get enough of my time as they deserve but little things like this decoration just brings everything into perspective. Friendship is just as much about being in each others thoughts as it is about being in each others homes.

Thanks Sam. I miss you.

To all my friends, near and far, have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The Gadget Show Campaign for Free WiFi

I love gadgets. I think most guys and especially photographers do. So I was impressed to see that channel 5's 'The Gadget Show' are campaigning for free WiFi. Sign up and help make something that we all need cheaper.

The Gadget Show Campaign for free WiFi
'This week on The Gadget Show, Jason explored a pilot scheme which supplies the city of Norwich with free WiFi internet access for its people.

A great idea, but not enough. We want to see free WiFi in every major town and city in the UK; for business, for tourism, for the future, and for anyone and everyone who relies on the internet.

If you agree, please sign up to our online campaign here, and we'll take it all the way to the top.'

Sparklers

Big fireworks are great, but you can't beat a good old sparkler. Heather, Hazel and Fiona managed to keep all their fingers intact while making some cool shapes on Sunday night.

Scary Friends

Every year Halloween just gets better and better. So here's the deal....if you get voted by the rest of the crew as best costume, well you have to host the next halloween party but you also get to choose the theme.

This year was 'Stars in Your Eyes'. Not only did we have to dress up but we also had to sing the song. Don't think there will be a change of career for any of us.

Great night. Thanks Brian and Jill for hosting the show. Hazel see you at your house next Halloween. Just let us all know what the theme is early so we can get working on the costumes.

Thanks guys for a scary but fun weekend.

The Robertson/Gillies Kids

Last year I had the pleasure of shooting Anne and Neils wedding in Kirkintilloch. We had a great day and an even better evening. Its hard to believe its over a year now.

They asked me if I would take some portraits of their kids and I jumped at the chance, as I remember how much fun they were on the wedding day. I really should not call them the kids any more. In fact Anne had a tear in her eye when she said "my babies have all grown up".

Thanks Guys. Enjoy.

A Little Treat

As the summer Wedding season starts to quieten off. I always like to have a little treat at the end of September. So what better way to treat myself than with one of my passions SKIING!!!!!!.

Photography is by far my greatest passion but it is followed close by skiing. So yesterday we got up early and hit the fresh trax session at the Xscape Glasgow. Amazing. It was so good to be back on the slopes (all be it just the same one all day).

Heather and I were joined by some of our friends and we had a scream.

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry everyone for not posting for a while. Its proved to be a rather busy end to the summer. Wedding shoots, getting proofs and albums together and shooting some overdue portraits, it all got pretty hectic for a while and the blog site paid the price.

Had a great shoot today with the kids from the Robertson/Gillies family. I photographed there parents wedding last year and had an amazing time shooting the kids today. Stay tuned for photos.

Little Kieran

Parents Claire and Mike were over the moon with this lovely portrait of Kieran. But I was over the moon with how this little fella posed for me.

No hassle, he just loved it.

Emma and Paul

As promised here are a few shots from Emma and Paul's wedding. The lucky couple are still on honeymoon some three weeks after the wedding.

My favourite part of this lifestyle I have, which I call work, is showing my images to my clients. It brings back so many happy memories for both the couple and me. It may have only been a few weeks since the wedding but the photos really do spark of all the emotions, when they see them for the first time.

We also catch lots of moments that the coule have not been aware. Looking through the photographs lets them see all these little moments again.

Hurry up and come home guys, can't wait to show you your memories....................
