Blair's first snowman

With the cold snap we have had recently we took the opportunity as a family to make Blair's first snowman in the front garden. He loved it.

His favourite thing is to go in his sledge. The faster the better.

Is seems like such a simple little thing to make a snowman with Blair but to make him with my son, for me was quite special.

I love the snow and those of you that know me well know how fanatical I can get about skiing. So to be in the snow with Blair was great. I can't wait to get him on the slopes in the Alpes somewhere. It will be a couple more years yet though.

The way the weather is changing we get less and less opportunites to play in the snow here. So got to make the most of it when you can.

Christine & Steven (and Douglas & Lulu)

Its always nice to do an engagement shoot somewhere special and if your family home is a beautiful farm house then that is just the perfect place.
Christine's mum and dad made me very welcome when we went along on a cold winters day to do a shoot with her and Steven.
We managed to get the shoot done just in time before the snow really started to fall.
The family love their dogs Douglas and Lulu so it was only natural that we got them in on the action.

Past, Present and Future

Here is a lovely shot of me and 4 AMJ Brides. I have been fortunate in my career that most of my clients come from recommendations and referrals.

At Laura and Harry's wedding last year I was photographed with 4 AMJ brides. Two past brides Jo and Janey. The present bride Laura and a future bride Joanne (Laura's sister).
These girls are all friends family or work colleagues.
I really do now feel like part of the family as I have spent so much time with their extended families.
Joanne's wedding is in just over 8 weeks time. That's only 6 months after her sister Laura's wedding. You've got to feel sorry for their Dad. Poor man two daughters married in six months. There goes the retirement plan!

It was a very relaxed day and the everyone had a great time.

Rabbie Burns 250

My love is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June :
My love is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.

Happy Burns Night Everyone.

Jan 2nd

Had a little me time today up north. Headed out early, up to Rannoch Moor and Glencoe.
There is nothing quite like watching the sun come up, on a cold morning, over Rannoch.
Especially with Foo Fighters and The Killers pumping on my ipod.

New Year

Hi everyone. Happy new year. The first day of the year was very cold and frosty. Blair had us up early so we went for a walk down to the canal, which is only across the field from our house.

At one point Blair decided it was too cold and headed for home :)

Laura & Harry, Lochside House Hotel

Another beautiful day. This time down in New Cumnock at Lochside House Hotel for the wedding of Laura & Harry.

It was great to see lots of familiar faces at the wedding. With four AMJ brides at the wedding, I feel like I am really begining to become one of the family. It was great to catch up with everyone.
