Scary Friends

Every year Halloween just gets better and better. So here's the deal....if you get voted by the rest of the crew as best costume, well you have to host the next halloween party but you also get to choose the theme.

This year was 'Stars in Your Eyes'. Not only did we have to dress up but we also had to sing the song. Don't think there will be a change of career for any of us.

Great night. Thanks Brian and Jill for hosting the show. Hazel see you at your house next Halloween. Just let us all know what the theme is early so we can get working on the costumes.

Thanks guys for a scary but fun weekend.

The Robertson/Gillies Kids

Last year I had the pleasure of shooting Anne and Neils wedding in Kirkintilloch. We had a great day and an even better evening. Its hard to believe its over a year now.

They asked me if I would take some portraits of their kids and I jumped at the chance, as I remember how much fun they were on the wedding day. I really should not call them the kids any more. In fact Anne had a tear in her eye when she said "my babies have all grown up".

Thanks Guys. Enjoy.

A Little Treat

As the summer Wedding season starts to quieten off. I always like to have a little treat at the end of September. So what better way to treat myself than with one of my passions SKIING!!!!!!.

Photography is by far my greatest passion but it is followed close by skiing. So yesterday we got up early and hit the fresh trax session at the Xscape Glasgow. Amazing. It was so good to be back on the slopes (all be it just the same one all day).

Heather and I were joined by some of our friends and we had a scream.

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry everyone for not posting for a while. Its proved to be a rather busy end to the summer. Wedding shoots, getting proofs and albums together and shooting some overdue portraits, it all got pretty hectic for a while and the blog site paid the price.

Had a great shoot today with the kids from the Robertson/Gillies family. I photographed there parents wedding last year and had an amazing time shooting the kids today. Stay tuned for photos.

Little Kieran

Parents Claire and Mike were over the moon with this lovely portrait of Kieran. But I was over the moon with how this little fella posed for me.

No hassle, he just loved it.

Emma and Paul

As promised here are a few shots from Emma and Paul's wedding. The lucky couple are still on honeymoon some three weeks after the wedding.

My favourite part of this lifestyle I have, which I call work, is showing my images to my clients. It brings back so many happy memories for both the couple and me. It may have only been a few weeks since the wedding but the photos really do spark of all the emotions, when they see them for the first time.

We also catch lots of moments that the coule have not been aware. Looking through the photographs lets them see all these little moments again.

Hurry up and come home guys, can't wait to show you your memories....................

Our Anniversary

Yes Heather and I have been married a year.

This has been such a quick year. We thought last year was quick with the lead up to the wedding but where has this year gone.

I certainly have had a very busy year and been lucky enough to share it with some amazing couples and help celebrate their weddings. I hope you all have as great a first year as Heather and I.

So how did we celebrate our anniversary. Well Heather being the fit one, dragged me up Ben An. We had a great morning meeting lots of nice people on the climb up. We stopped at a new fishing centre just outside Brig o Turk and had a great lunch on their deckfront Cafe next to the Loch.
The highlight of the day was the most amazing meal at Glenskirlie House. The food and service are second to none. Thanks to Andy and all the staff for a memorable evening.

Cool Wedding Car

Emma and Paul as well as being a pretty cool couple also had the coolest wedding car. After years of being into bikes they got rid of them and bought a Cooper S Convertible.

Paul's brother did the handy work with the decorations and as they drove away from the church The Jam's 'Town Called Malice' was easily loud enough to be heared over the clatter of the tins.

Nice one guys.

Rain or Shine

Well its been an amazing month. The weather has been so kind to my clients in July. But it was inevitable that that would come to an end.

Had a fantastic shoot at Emma and Pauls wedding at Balquhidder Church. Poor Emma, as soon as she arrived at the church the heavens opened.

It did not dampen the spirit of the day. Emma and Paul were great sports and the photographs show that. I will post shots here soon.

Was also great to have Gary Bonar assistting me for the day. We had a great laugh and Gary's great to work with.

Photographers with Point & Shoots

Sometimes as pro photographers we forget to take fun photos.

We were out for dinner last night with our friends Graeme & Hazel. Gee himself is a great photographer. So give us a point and shoot and we will take a great self portrait.

Enjoy.

Joy

I tell you, weddings are a joy to shoot. I love happy occasions. Every now and then one person is just way beyond what you could hope for.

Little Erin made, not just my day, but everyone at Melissa and Gavin's wedding day so much brighter. She is a star. The type of kid I could photograph all day long trying to capture her boundless energy and joy for life.

She was a little flower girl but thought she was a princess.

Her parents have just seen the wedding previews and love the shots of her and the rest of the kids. I am shure you can guess which one is Erin. The rest of you kids were amazing too.

Thanks Erin for making my day.
